Layyah
With a marvelous history of 15 years of excellence, the
University of Layyah is now positioned among fast growing Universities of
Punjab Pakistan. Originally established as a BZU Bahadur Sub-Campus Layyah in
2009. Realizing the importance of Higher Education Degree Awarding Institute
one in each district this Sub-Campus was upgraded as University in December
2022. Presently, University of Layyah comprises of 23 departments in six
faculties and 2 campuses. The Main Campus of the University, that was built in
125 acre of land and situated on Karor Road, Layyah and is situated 5 km from
its City Campus which is spread over in 13 acre of land and situated on
Katchery Road Layyah. University of Layyah offers 23 undergraduate degree
programs along with 01 diploma courses for capacity building of the human
resource in various disciplines of Sciences, Agriculture and Veterinary
Sciences, Social Sciences, Business and Languages disciplines.
With a motto “Distinctive Learning", University of
Layyah has fast moved towards multi-level education and skills development
institution by utilizing its knowledge, resources and skills for human resource
development. Equipped with state of the art teaching, training, research,
clinical and diagnostic facilities, University of Layyah demonstrates
professional excellence in multidimensional focus areas of academics, research
and services. Through its partnership with various foreign and local academic
& research institutions and private sector, the University plays a pivotal
role in economic development through applied research.
University of Layyah offers wide ranging services, to farmers,
pet owners, community members and industry stakeholders, including diagnostics
facilities, clinical & extension services, consultancy & advisory
services etc.
