Introduction:
Department of Pathobiology as an integral part of Faculty of Veterinary Sciences established in 2022 as an example of excellence in the study of microorganism. Pathobiology comprises of three major sections including;
- Microbiology
- Pathology
- Parasitology
The Department is committed to provide professional skills and technical knowledge relevant to pathogens to undergraduate students. The excellence in professional expertise of the students is generated through innovative teaching, learning and laboratory provision, which enables graduates at the forefront of Microbiology, Pathology and Parasitology. The Department of Pathobiology is actively engaged in research, teaching, and implementation of modern diagnostic tools and advanced molecular techniques for the diagnosis, treatment, control and immune-prophylaxis of contagious diseases.
