The Faculty of Computing & Engineering at the University of Layyah, launched in 2024, brings together forward-looking undergraduate programs like BS in Computer Science, BS Information Technology, and BS Computer (and Civil) Engineering. It is committed to delivering a fusion of theory and hands‑on experience, featuring modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, a seminar hall, and a dedicated library. With a mission to train skilled technologists in domains such as AI, networking, software development, and cybersecurity, the faculty is aligning its curriculum for accreditation by HEC and NCEAC.

1. Department of Computer Science

  • Offers a 4‑year BS in Computer Science program (launched on September 18, 2023), blending theoretical foundations with hands‑on training in areas such as AI, algorithms, networks, security, databases, graphics, and HCI.

  • Features modern infrastructure including well‑equipped labs, seminar halls, and dedicated computing resources.

2. Department of Information Technology

  • Provides a 4‑year BS in Information Technology program, which began alongside the Computer Science program on September 18, 2023.

  • Focuses on preparing professionals adept in software systems, network administration, cybersecurity, web apps, and IT infrastructure.

  • Admissions criteria include F.Sc. Pre‑Engineering/ICS or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
