The University of Layyah has officially signed an agreement with the Punjab Day Care Fund Society (PDCF) under the Women Development Department (WDD), Government of Punjab, for the establishment of a Day Care Centre at the University.

This important initiative aims to create a women-friendly workplace by providing support to working mothers through quality and affordable childcare facilities within the University premises. The Day Care Centre will offer a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment for children while enabling female employees to perform their professional duties with peace of mind and confidence.

During the signing ceremony, representatives from the Punjab Day Care Fund Society and the University of Layyah emphasized the need for inclusive institutional growth, where women can balance their careers and family responsibilities effectively.

This milestone reflects the University’s unwavering commitment to gender equity, work-life balance, and inclusive institutional development — ensuring that every member of the academic community can thrive in a supportive and progressive environment.

“Empowering women is not just about opportunity — it’s about creating a system that supports their dreams, their families, and their future.”
